Everybody is rich on social media is the popular saying as no one posts their failure there. Yet, people who manage to stay real get broke shamed and castigated which is disheartening

which is disheartening.

This is the scenario that played out yesterday when a lady posted pictures of herself in her room on twitter. Rather than keep quiet and pass, a twitter asked if she was living in an isolation centre because her room wasn't like the flashy ones most people take their pictures.

It became very intense when more people started commenting on how poor the room looked. What baffled me most was the fact that it was her fellow ladies who championed this bashing and trolling.

Is this what social media will continue to mean to us? A place where displaying your real life becomes a crime and you get dragged for it.
