Nigerian-born former Everton star Ademola Lookman is to blame if an unlucky Bundesliga cameraman wakes up tomorrow with a bump on his head.
The RB Leipzig forward, 22, tried his luck from long range with his side 1-0 down at home to Freiburg in the first weekend of games back since the coronavirus lockdown was partially lifted.
Lookman’s strike from almost 25 yards out went careering wide of the right post.
Unfortunately, that was where the cameraman – one of just 300 essential staff allowed in the stadium – happened to be placed.
The ball fizzed through the air and dipped just in time to smack him on the back of the head.
Footage of the strike had fans in fits of laughter.
One said: “There is nobody in stadium, yet the one dude who is, gets smacked by ball in the head while not looking.”
Another shrewdly pointed out: “Ironic then that the player shooting the ball is called Lookman!”
A fellow user wrote: “That is some bad luck.”

One comment read: “Nobody in the stadium but Ademola Lookman still manages to take somebody’s head off.”
It was a bad day for Lookman, who also missed an absolute sitter from all of six yards out with only the keeper to beat.
Luckily his side managed a 1-1 draw after team-mate Yussuf Poulsen cancelled out Manuel Gulde’s 34th-minute opener.
